If you have Dynamic contents or use CMS, please AVOID this Yahoo Small Business Web Hosting.
Two big reasons..
They use mysql3 (current version is 5). mysql 3 will break down your CMS such as autoincrement or etc.
They don't let you change apache settings using .htaccess
this will cause many problems, but most of all, it means no clean URL, bad SEO.

It’s a good & simple web hosting for 2-3 page websites.

If you have Dynamic contents or use CMS, please AVOID this Yahoo Small Business Web Hosting.

Two big reasons..<br

i would recomend to sign up for a new host
upload your files,
then change your nameservers
google will never see a difference

paul, you can change hosts, but i would recommend it to be as fast a possible, google will eventually realize that your site is not up and delete it,<br

They offer to call back rather than force you to hold. And they do call back! in fact, when you follow the online prompts to get a service number for your call, they even show you how long you might expect to wait for a call or how long holding will take.
The sitebuilder program (which it doesn't seem to be included in this review) is way easier to use than other sitebuilder programs from other hosts. It is very intuitive and they have a lot of helpful tutorials. Theyt allow you to customize absolutely everything from buttons to images and links and everything else.
My problem with yahoo is that they have problems with their sitebuilder program or something. It is outdated apparently now, so some features don't work on new browsers. Moreover, there are many gremlins. For example, I uploaded my own button images for site navigation. These included inactive, active and mouseover images. Yet they don't always display properly. One or more of the buttons randomly will not show the mouseover image. I have called many times regarding this and similar issues. though the operators are usually friendly, they have not been able to resolve these issues.
Overall, they are a good host, more expensive than others. The sitebuilder program needs to be updated and fixed though, even though it is really amazing. I was a novice when i started with Yahoo and created a surprisingly cool site.
What i really want to know about is GoDaddy. Especially their website tonight offer interests me.

I am hosted by Yahoo. i have a question actually, dont know if this is the right place to post! but i have an account with my web projects setup and page ranks where google has indexed the sites. if i want to transfer those domain names to another site and have new web space accounts for each! will this affect the page ranks? do i have to start again! or does google know that these are sites that have been moved?
thanks

nice review, but i think i will stick with the more professional server companies that offer multiple databases.

i have a question actually, dont know if this is the right place to post! but i have an account with my web projects setup and page ranks where google has indexed the sites. if i want to transfer those domain names to another site and have new web space accounts for each! will this affect the page ranks? do i have to start again! or does google know that these are sites that have been moved?

thanks

By: Kyle J. So in this sense, Google does host websites with domains. I have utilized this service before for an organization that I managed. Google does also offer domain registration services for use with the Google Apps service. Otherwise, I don't think Google does any sort of domain hosting that I'm aware of. Google Apps is really the closest thing they offer to web hosting as far as I know.

Paul, users of Google Apps are able to setup their domain name to point to their Google Apps site.
