A Glance at the New Twitter Directories
Just when you thought you were up-to-date on all of your Twitter terms, new Twitter Directories (suggested name: Direc-twitties) are popping up all over the Interweb. While some of these might look familiar, these certainly aren’t your Web 1.0 Directories, as the social media element always allows for greater communication and interaction. Many of them are similar to standard directories, and others are closer to applications that you can use along with your Twitter account.
Their subjects? Usually something Twitter-related, like the directory that shows you how powerful a Tweeter you are.
Here are some of the more popular Direc-twitties you’ll see these days:

WeFollow is a directory of all the different types of Twitter accounts, helping you to find interesting ones to follow.
If you’re interested in some other directories, here are honorable mentions:
TwitterHolic – Similar to TwitterCounter, TwitterHolic is like a Power Rankings of Twitter, showing who the most powerful tweeters are in terms of followers. If getting to #1 is your life’s mission, you’ll know how many followers you need to get.
tweetertags.com – Tags are useful for finding more information about a subject online; that same concept is used in this Twitter directory. If you want to find some Twitter profiles to follow on a certain subject (say, a sports team), you can find some here.
TwitterVision – Very cool. You can check out where the Tweets are coming from thanks to a Google Maps feed. This strikes me as something Tweeters would like to fall asleep to.
