Bad uptime, bad customer service, bad call to sign up for one year! Truly bad experience with our site down several times over a short few months due to server management issues. Suppport none existent with a disconnection that made us feel they were used to dissatisfied customers. Moved to other host and have had zero downtime since. Green is not good in this case.

I’m sorry you’ve been experiencing such issues and I appreciate the feedback you’ve given. I realize not everyone will be happy with their respective web-hosts. Remember, this review was based on a personal experience.

If I were to recommend another host, I’d say ClickHOST (they’ve been recently reviewed.) I loved their customer support. They also aren’t that expensive. Feel free to read the aforementioned review.

I would love to kick somebody at greengeeks, the worst customer service ever! (do you know where to complain formally?)
BTW – stay away from bluehost/fatcow – I was unable to launch a simple site there, bad service also

I’ve been using GreenGeeks for a few months and I’d say they’re “okay.”

I’m not thrilled with their customer support. I prefer to start with Live Chat and what I usually get is a short, curt reply directing me to a link to something on their support page I’ve already read. I tried calling, and ended up using e-mail support to get my issue resolved.

Although I appreciate they’re located in North America and not using canned responses, I just don’t feel the love. They’re just not nice or friendly.

In reevaluating my reseller hosting, I’m thinking of using Bluehost or Hostgator. One thing they offer that Green Geeks does not is shared SSL.
