For the sake of argument, let’s allow that people know themselves well enough, and are honest enough, to complete an ‘accurate’ profile…

Problem is, the assumption that my perfect partner is someone just like me is fundamentally flawed. Relationships are not that simple. This is pseudo-science.

I met my husband on eharmony after dating online on other sites for years yes YEARS, I would never have chosen him on my own I would have overlooked him. I would have gone for the super uber extroverted guy who was fun for 6 months but not for life! If you’re in your 30′s or 40′s and you still aren’t attached go on this website give the guy/gal you get to a date with a chance and go out a few times. If you get to only a few dates then good riddence you spend a lot less money and time on someone you aren’t compatible with one more heartbreak missed. Good luck with your search.

I mean it, this dating site thing feels like that expensive shirt you get at the store you don’t wear after the summer. Aside from not going out I didn’t even get a single communication. It seems like the natural process of the bar does a better job and it has not been my friend. Checking to see if it was maybe worth a try back to the girls that I am not seeking for a long term relationship, that have spontaneous lower self esteems, commitment problems, not healthy partners and else…I guess. As if my computer could be more usefull then in college

I tried eharmony, posted a profile and pictures, but I’m not going to pay 59.00 for a one-month membership just to be able to look at pictures from my matches. It’s very disappointing that eharmony doesn’t give you the option of looking at pictures of potential matches, and then let you decide if you want to pay the membership fees. I agree with Zak, it’s just a scam; I’m glad I didn’t subscribe.

I tried eharmony and I think that Kristin lady DOES work for them. That site is a joke. You can’t communicate with anyone, even matches, unless you fork out tons of money. Don’t waste your time. They obviously don’t care about helping you find ” the one” or they would let you talk without paying. It’s just a scam, don’t fall for it like I did.

E-Harmony – what a disappointment! 9 months of using the site and of the nearly 342 matches, only 4 were within a 70 mile radius. It appears that if you are in a place like central MN, take a pass. If you are in a major population center, give it a try.

I too find that internet dating websites don’t really work.
Caution is usually perceive as playing game and not honest.
And first impression from photo take too much emphasis on getting the right match to be interested in you.
But in reality, i believe people are usually atttractive because of their personality rather than a few photo impressions. Nope, dating online websites just don’t work for me.

I am baffled by my inability to log on to my page on eharmony. I spent a few weeks in the US on vacation; while there I joined eharmony and indicated that I work abroad and will return to the US next summer August 2010, one of my question related to long-distance relationships. Since my return here, I have been unable to access my account. Two email messages were returned, I receive error messages whenever I try to open the eharmony page. Any suggestions?
