Dream Etiquette

How should a dream leave?
A dream should accompany its host casually to the door.
There, it should express thanks for the hospitality–
Room, meals, music, and late night discussions.
Once at the doorway, it should politely pause.
“If I can ever do anything for you,” it should say,
“Let me know.”
It should then extend an ardent handshake.
A smile, nod, or wink upon exit might be helpful.
Outside, it should wave a final salute.

But what of it?
A dream has no morals.
We can only dream of how a dream should leave.
