Scott Wilson is an avid Linux hobbiest who has a background in web design that reaches back to 1999. He also worked for a web host based in California as a remote CSR where he learned a great deal about the web hosting industry. Scott also learned to use the likes of Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Adobe Photoshop, Swish and others. These are all very good apps for designing web pages and editing images but, they do have their counterparts in the open source community that are just as capable such as the GIMP, Bluefish, Kompozer/NVU, gPHPEdit and others. "I enjoy the web and learning new things about web development and Linux. Being able to create and develop something from a simple idea and coax it along to fruition is what drives me to learn more. The same can be said for installing your own operating system and tweaking the code that drives it."
