Hey SEO’s, what’s wrong with this Google AdSense advertisement? Don’t you love the way that two businesses have to co-exist on the same Google AdSense ad? One way to avoid SEO malpractice is to restrain yourself from the practice of guaranteed SEO:
No one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google.
Beware of SEOs that claim to guarantee rankings, allege a “special relationship” with Google, or advertise a “priority submit” to Google.
Perhaps the above quote from the Google Search Engine Optimization Guidelines should read No one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google except a Google advertiser.

entrepreneur and builder of Internet things from way back. He's a founder of several blogs including

Leverable, a SEO consulting venture. Later, he joined a leading Atlanta search marketing agency where he currently develops SEO strategies for top online brands. Apart from the Internet, he could be considered by many as pretty worthless.

If you give them lots of money, then I guess you are guaranteed. lol

Amazingly, “Guaranteed” SEO is showing up on the first page of Google organic search results for “SEO,” positions 9 and 10 for a query done today.

Thank you for post..
Unless they can manipulate the system forever, there is no such thing as a guaranteed top rank in SEO.
Love the contradiction between those two ads.. I hate sites that make ridiculous claims like “Guaranteed #1 spot in Google next week” without even knowing what keywords you are optimizing for! If these SEO companies would calm down and make reasonable claims about their services, they would probably get more customers (or at least more customers who won’t complain later and demand refunds!).
I still think there is a big difference between the two. There is no guaranteed #1 on google it’s forever changing whoever has the most money wins to keep up in placement.
